Highly polished, full-fledged mmo-rpg. FREE, expansions FREE. No Subscription costs.
Latest update was Feb 20th to Rift 2.6 "Dreamweaver" expansion. Prev major exp was "Storm Legion"
One of the better talent tree systems in MMOs. 4 archetype callings with 9 souls each.
Vanilla WoW-like with better graphics, interface and overall polish to gameplay.
Good F2P model, with pretty much all content being free aside from things like bag space, some of the souls etc.

Great graphics. Base game (rarely$25), $30 on sale, $40 normally. No Monthly/FREE.
Action/console combat elements in it's somewhat simplified combat mechanics.
Endgame PvE said to be lacking, but end-game is designed more for PvP with the combat mechanics.
